#4. STEM in 4th Grade-A survey through the STEM experience at Alton Central School

Description: Fourth Graders experience STEM through the Computer Science, Tech Ed, and Science eyes throughout the school year for the first time. As a result the teachers experience fourth graders for the first time for some and in a new way for others.

#5. Arctic Wednesdays: Professional Development for Teachers in Extreme Weather & Climate

Presenters: William Broussard and Brian Fitzgerald, Mount Washington Observatory
Description: Mount Washington Observatory’s 2017 pilot program introduced pre-College teachers to weather observation and education in the “Home of the World’s Worst Weather.” We’ll discuss program highlights, pre-and post-program activities, and solicit feedback for an improved program in 2018.
